Position: Accounting Specialist I

Location: Silver Spring, MD (or surrounding areas DC and VA)

Jamison Professional Services, Inc. (“JPS”) is currently seeking qualified and motivated professional for the position of Accounting Specialist I

Job Description:
Education: B.A. or B.S. degree or Professional Certification
General Experience: one to two years of accounting experience.
Specialized Experience: Experience in accounting specialist support in a Federal Government environment.
 
Functions:

• Prepares balance sheets, statements, and other financial reports.
• Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
• Reports organization's finances to management, and offers suggestions about resource utilization, strategies, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

U.S. Citizenship: Must be able to successfully pass a Federal Government level background check.
