Jamison Professional Services, Inc. (“JPS”) is currently seeking qualified and motivated candidate for the position of Graphic Designer/Media Specialist.

Tasks

Assists in the development of materials for distribution to the media and general public; 

Supports communications staff in development of various communications materials for web and social media platforms;

Produces graphics, illustrations, infographics, animations and other web-based and video products to support media and outreach projects;

Maintains graphics project archives and monitors and updates project status reports;

Supports education and outreach staff at various public and internal events as required;

Performs a variety of tasks/assignments in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Selected individual(s) must have the following minimum qualifications:

• Proficient in the use of Dreamweaver for posting web stories, Photoshop and Illustrator to prepare images and infographics for press releases and other communications, education and outreach products and InDesign for layout of collateral communications materials;
• Familiar with operations and processes required for generating output of communications products (e.g., can operate a large format printer and graphics production equipment);
• Individual must be experienced in creating and adapting content for use in Twitter, Facebook and WordPress/blogs, and in providing general office support to successfully perform the requirements under this task order;
• Experienced with general office support to successfully perform the requirements;
• Work requires both taking direction from senior communications and center staff and the ability to exercise an independence and judgment;
• Ability to manage projects involving many people, tracking, and maintaining a schedule.

• Ability to create visual concepts (e.g., illustrations, technical drawings and animations), by hand or using computer software;
• Working knowledge of Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Illustrator to take and curate photos, graphics and/or videos for print and electronic media, such as brochures, and web
• Experienced in layout and production design;
• Experienced in use of PowerPoint for animation and visual displays;
• Comfortable working with clients or the graphics design lead to determine the scope of a project.

Additional preferred qualifications include:

• Familiarity with creating and adapting visual content for use in Twitter, Facebook and WordPress/blogs and web;
• Capable of using specialized hardware and/or software for video/audio capture.
