Jamison Professional Services, Inc. (“JPS”) is currently seeking qualified and motivated candidate for the position of General Clerk III (Badging Support) in Seattle, WA area.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
Duties Overview:
Serve as Verifying Official (VO) for the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS). The VO is trained to perform all the roles associated with DEERS/RAPIDS which include managing users, security, cardstock, and consumables, managing report data and site information, verifying data, entering data and issuing ID cards.
The VO issues credentials in the form of 10 cards to the Uniformed Service Members, their dependents, other eligible beneficiaries, Common Access Cards (CACs) to Federal civilians, contractors and affiliates who are authorized.
The individual may also operate a secondary system of ID cards, such as Personal Identity Verification Interoperable (PIV-I) for controlled access and identification with similar duties as outlined below.
Specific tasks are as follows:
Verifies the identity of card recipients as required by the AFI-36-3026(1) and enters applicant data in Real Time Automated Personnel Identification System (RAPIDS) or PIV-I
Corrects military and civilian records in DEERS, responds to various inquiries concerning the application of military benefits, laws and regulations
Serves as a liaison to Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) concerning record discrepancies and hardware/software equipment
Prints and reviews audit trail reports to monitor for fraud and abuse
Direct interaction via phone, email and in person with ID card customers from the military, their family and other entitled persons of Department of Defense (DoD) association, including civilians, contractors and affiliates
Interacts with and contacts the Servicing Project Officer, as necessary
Ensure applicant data i s properly entered into the DOC Security Manager Database
May be required to review OPM Personnel Investigations Processing System (PIPS) database to validate OPM investigative records for applicants
Fingerprints applicants as necessary to enable completion of background investigation required for credentialing
Perform other duties as required to assist with Pass and ID office
Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to work effectively with others and acts professionally in an executive office environment
Ability to manage database systems and associated records
Ability to operate in a Windows environment with experience i n Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer.
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and varying levels of understanding
Ability to demonstrate strong customer service skills bot h in person and by telephone, and to work effectively as a team member, and balance the interests of a variety of clients
Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work in a high volume fast paced security environment. This includes the ability to maintain poise, tact and self-control while under pressure, and the ability to follow through on task
Ability to exercise above average judgment. resourcefulness, and diplomacy in dealing with Government officials, contractors and associates, visitors, and the general public
Ability to lift and handle items or packages weighing up to 25 pounds each
Ability to withstand prolonged periods of standing, stooping, walking, and reaching
Education and Experience Requirements:
High school graduate or GED required
Two years of professional administrative support experience required
One year of identification badge control experience strongly y preferred
Fluent in English. Computer literacy (Windows, Internet, Microsoft Suite etc.)
