Jamison Professional Services, Inc. (JPS) is currently seeking qualified and motivated professionals for the position of Procurement Technician.
 
Job Description:  
The services to be provided by the contractor involve a variety of functions related to contract acquisition in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and Veterans Affairs Acquisition Regulation (VAAR).  These functions will include preparation of purchase orders within the IFCAP system through the contract closeout function.  The contractor shall be knowledgeable in the requirements of the aforementioned regulations. All services are non-personal in nature. Performance shall be according to the requirements contained in this Performance Work Statement (PWS).

Specific Duties: 
Daily tasks include, but are not limited to,
  • The  Procurement Technician (PT): The PT will provide assistance to Contracting Officers (CO) in preparing market research for COs review.  Other duties include, preparation of purchase orders utilizing IFCAP modifications, contacting customers for information and resolving conflicts that may arise during the procurement process. 
    • The PTs are responsible for preparation of modifications to contracts and amendments to purchase orders, to ensure de-obligation of funds and closeout of contract documents. All modifications are prepared utilizing information received from fiscal personnel
    • The PTs are responsible for having modifications signed by the vendor and returned to the CO for final signature.
    • The PTs shall perform the following closeout functions to include, but not limited to: verify performance/delivery has been completed and accepted; process final payment and/or verify final payment has been made; prepare de-obligation modification for any outstanding funds; prepare correspondence to contractors regarding release of claims and other closeout issues; complete all required closeout forms and prepare contracts for storage to include completion of staging forms.
Qualifications
  • Shall read, comprehend, speak, and write English.
  • Shall be knowledgeable and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools and software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Must have, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous procurement experience required.
  • Knowledge of IFCAP system is a plus.
  • Interpersonal skills - tactful, discretion, good judgment, organizational or management ability, initiative, adaptable, versatile, and the ability to work independently.​
 
U.S. Citizenship: Must be eligible to work in the United States.
 
Security Clearance:  Must successfully pass a government level background investigation.
