Position Title:  Financial Analyst

 

Location:  Washington, DC

 

 

Job Description:  

The candidate shall perform high-level budget/administrative duties requiring presence, initiative, independence, tact, discretion and confidentiality in a large, complex federal government organization. 
    •  Conduct administrative and program management functions essential to day-to-day operations
    •  Support the coordination, development, and submission of all budget formulation materials for assigned offices
    •  Inform office chief of all issues that require policy  decisions or potential  adverse impacts
    •  Provide thorough instructions and assistance related to development of budget materials
    •  Keep abreast of new information pertaining to budget requests
    •  Ensure that supporting documentation for budget requests are kept up-to-date
 
Provide budget execution, financial analysis, and funds control support. Specific responsibilities will include:
    •  Perform the allocation, tracking, and control of fiscal resources for assigned  Corporate Services offices
    •  Monitor budget execution within assigned offices to ensure that goals and objectives are met
    •  Prepare monthly budget execution reports for assigned offices
    •  Develop thorough instructions for assigned office budget contacts to respond to budget execution data calls
    •  Participate in quarterly budget execution reviews
    •  Conduct analyzes for assigned offices and recommend resource needs consistent with  guidance and mission objectives
    •  Analyze and evaluate program effectiveness for meeting defined goals, objectives, performance measures, and budget constraints
    •  Analyze budget execution reports to ensure that budget operating plans are not exceeded
    •  Develop and present analyzes with recommendations to the office chief on options for resource allocations
 

 

U.S. Citizenship: Must be eligible to work in the United States.

 

Security Clearance:  Must successfully pass a government level background investigation for a NACLC.
