DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:

The position of Senior Engagement Specialist must have experience in directly supporting clarification of their organization’s point of view to its main audience through direct engagement, site visits, and interviews. Experience in monitoring social, economic, and political trends that might affect their organization, and recommend ways to enhance the firm’s image on the basis of those trends. The Senior Engagement Specialist also works with outreach promotions to ensure that engagement campaigns are compatible with the image of the organization.


REQUIRED AND DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

This positions requires a degree that included 15 semester hours in statistics (or in mathematics and statistics, provided at least 6 semester hours were in statistics), and 9 additional semester hours in one or more of the following: physical or biological sciences, medicine, education, or engineering; or in the social sciences including demography, history, economics, social welfare, geography, international relations, social or cultural anthropology, health sociology, political science, public administration, psychology, etc. Credit toward meeting statistical course requirements should be given for courses in which 50 percent of the course content appears to be statistical methods, e.g., courses that included studies in research methods in psychology or economics such as tests and measurements or business cycles, or courses in methods of processing mass statistical data such as tabulating methods or electronic data processing.

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor and interpret social, economic, and political data and trends.
  • Recommend ways to enhance the firm’s image on the basis of those trends.
  • Collaborate with outreach promotions to ensure that engagement campaigns are compatible with the image of the organization.
  • Conduct research to support policy development and decision-making processes.
  • Conduct economic research and analysis to inform policy decisions.
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret data to produce strategic reports and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify research needs and priorities.
  • Develop and maintain databases and information systems to support data collection and analysis.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and policies that may impact research outcomes.
  • Communicate economic findings and policy recommendations to a variety of audiences through written reports and oral presentations.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
  • Use statistical software and other tools to analyze and visualize data.
  • Develop and maintain economic models to simulate the impact of policy changes.
  • Attend and participate in conferences, seminars, and other events to stay informed on the latest economic research and trends.
  • Critical thinking, attention to detail, problem-solving, and strong communication skills.

The Government will leverage a mixture of an in-person and telework posture in support of PWS tasks based on operational requirements.

Required travel annually.


Clearance Level Required: Must be able to pass a Federal Background check. | Secret clearance is a plus.
