DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:

The position of Senior Data Analyst is responsible for developing and implementing a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software.


REQUIRED AND DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor's Degree in some related field, like Computer Science or Mathematics. This degree should have provided you with studying in statistics, programming, and databases. Additionally, you should have some experience working with data management tools, like SQL, Python, or R.
  • Prefer previous Data Analyst work experience.
  • Experience working with using statistical analysis software such as SAS.
  • Must be skilled in analyzing and reporting data.
  • Collect and organize large sets of data for analysis.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Use statistical tools and software to process and interpret data.
  • Create visualizations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve business performance based on data analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and develop solutions.
  • Maintain and update databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Conduct regular audits of data sources to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

 

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Visualize, interpret, report data findings.
  • Create dynamic data reports.
  • Develop statistical analysis plans and data management procedures using relational database principles, protocols, and methodology.
  • Integrates and analyzes data from many sources, including resolving data problems.
  • Conducts complex and detailed quantitative statistical analyses, using statistical analysis software such as SAS, to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of programs and service delivery.
  • Performs quantitative statistical analyses using complex analytic methods, including multiple regression, general linear model, correlation, t-test, creating composite variables, and longitudinal analysis.
  • Performs qualitative statistical analysis of large datasets of written comments to identify themes and draw validated conclusions.

The Government will leverage a mixture of an in-person and telework posture in support of PWS tasks based on operational requirements.

 

TRAVEL:

Required travel annually.

 

Clearance Level Required: Must be able to pass a Federal Background check. | Secret clearance is a plus.
