Emergency Preparedness Technician - Silver Spring, MD

Job Description: We are seeking a qualified, motivated professional for the position of Emergency Preparedness Technician.

The following deliverables are required of the candidate:​

• Provide management services of the ARCHIBUS emergency preparedness module for the JPS federal government client.
• Produce occupancy reports for agency occupied space on a quarterly basis.
• Coordinate the production of computer aided design assisted emergency degrees maps.
• Coordinate the identification
  of all hazardous materials in conjunction with the Safety and Environmental Compliance Office.
• Inventory uninterruptible power supply batteries on a biannual basis.
• Distribute and track relevant emergency preparedness supplies at the agency campus, to include emergency radios, shelter-in-place supplies and emergency vests.
• Update the agency occupant Emergency Plan Emergency Personnel Roster on a quarterly basis, or as changes occur.
• Update emergency preparedness signage through-out agency occupied space on a quarterly basis, or as changes occur.
• Provide support management of the agency phone tree and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure contact information is completer and accurate.
• Provide training support services.
• Schedule monthly CPR/AED training classes at the agency campus.  This requires logistical coordination with the vendor, occupant coordinators representing agency line offices.
• Schedule emergency preparedness training at he agency campus on an annual and ad hoc basis, as applicable.
• Produce necessary handouts and other ancillary materials for training presentations.
• Collect quotes for applicable emergency preparedness training efforts and supplies at the agency campus.

Qualification Criteria:

- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Windows 7 Professional, Microsoft Office 2010, Adobe Acrobat X.
.- Minimum two (2) years experience in federal emergency preparedness.
- Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in a business related field is preferred.  ​​

U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
 
Security Clearance:  Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
