Our company is seeking a pre-press operator. Effective communication and organizational skills are essential for success.  The ability to develop strong relationships is also of prime importance. The right candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule or as the projects dictate.  On the job training will not be provided and as such, only those qualified candidates with the specific industry knowledge, skills and experience need apply.
 
We are a mailing service and color digital imaging company located in the Metro Atlanta area offering printing, mailing, and fulfillment support services to our clients. Job Requirements

Current experience in Data Management and Digital Printing industry.

Candidates must be extremely self-motivated and possess an excellent attention-to-detail.

Candidate must have excellent time management skills.
 
Pre-press experience
 
Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment

Ability to lift at least 50 pounds boxes as part of daily tasks


Skills Required

Intermediate skill level of Adobe CS4 or above
 
Minimum 3 years experience using high volume digital printers.
 
Creo & Fiery Front ends
 
Microsoft Office Suite, Advanced knowledge of Excel
 
Mail Management Software, BCC preferred.  
 
Variable Data Software experience a plus. 
 
Understanding of File Sharing, FTP/VPN a plus
 
Print Quality Control experience is a must (The ability to maintain and eliminate production errors/waste is crucial)
 
Equipment
 
Xerox Digital Press Experience (Nuvera, Docucolor 5000, and XC1000 specifically), Kodak Nexpress 2500 Digital Production Color Press.

Job Description

The work consists of supporting the Print Production and Data Center Department. The candidate is expected to work as a team sharing the workload with the other staff members. The position requirements include monitoring and transferring data files via VPN/FTP and Windows File Sharing. Processing data files through required stages using various applications ( Printable's FusionPro XMPie, Desktop, DataPort, BCC Mail Manager 2010, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) The ability to process data through work tables, software packages is a definite plus. The ability to proficiently work with various graphic design software packages (InDesign, Publisher, etc.) Providing minimal technical support for PC's Applications. The ability to support processes involving Information Technology is a plus.   Documenting processes and procedures for the department is also required.  Must be able to perform seamlessly in a high pressure environment while completing tasks timely.  Must be an excellent communicator (The ability to translate technical terminology into everyday language for our customers is essential).
