DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:

The position of Information Technology Specialist III is responsible for designing, configuring, installing, and maintaining LAN/WAN hardware and software which support file services, email, print services, web, data transport, and system administration as task lead, functional lead, or individual contributor. Conducts compatibility tests on hardware and software; supervises contractors and conducts testing/certification of their work; provides technology training. Supports technology planning, program development, disaster recovery, and capacity planning. Provides technical expertise in emerging technology areas.


REQUIRED AND DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Knowledge of designing, configuring, installing, and maintaining LAN/WAN hardware and software which support file services, email, print services, web, data transport, and system administration as task lead, functional lead, or individual contributor.
  • Design and implement technology solutions to meet organizational needs, including software and hardware products.
  • Evaluate and troubleshoot technology issues and problems, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Conduct research on emerging technologies and trends and make recommendations to management.
  • Train end-users and support staff in the proper use of technology systems and applications
  • Develop and maintain documentation and procedures for technology systems and applications.
  • Monitor technology systems and networks for security, reliability, and performance issues.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure technology systems and applications are integrated and optimized for business operations.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure technology products and services meet organizational requirements.
  • Participate in planning and budgeting for technology initiatives and provide input into the development of technology strategies and roadmaps.

The Government will leverage a mixture of an in-person and telework posture in support of PWS tasks based on operational requirements.

 

TRAVEL:

Required travel annually.

 

Clearance Level Required: Must be able to pass a Federal Background check. | Secret clearance is a plus.
