DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:

As an Accounting Technician you will serves as a team lead or senior team member, working in concert to provide professional accounting and financial management services to Federal, State &Local, and other Government clients. Possess a general understanding of the U.S. Standard General Ledger, Federal financial statements, and Federal budget execution. Be able to function as a subject matter expert to efficiently reconcile and remedy fiscal discrepancies. Under minimal supervision, be able to assess products and procedures for compliance with Government standards and financial management regulations. 

To succeed in this role, you'll need to have excellent math and analytical skills, as well as strong communication and interpersonal abilities. You should also have a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures, as well as experience with financial software and tools. Overall, this Accounting Technician job description involves a mix of routine accounting tasks and complex financial analysis. 


REQUIRED AND DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • BA/BS Degree
  • Five years of accounting experience related to the description of services.
  • Must be able to understand how to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Have basic typing and PC computer skills.
  • Must read, understand, speak, and write English fluently

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, such as vendors, customers, and employees.

HOURS OF OPERATION

Hines, IL: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM and 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM Monday through Friday

 

PRIMARY PLACE OF PERFORMANCE:

5th Ave. and Roosevelt Rd., Building 37 NW Dock 18, Hines, IL 69141

 

Clearance Level Required: Must be able to pass a Federal Background check.
